U-Pick DIY Flower Pounding Class
Join us on Saturday, September 6th at 6pm for an evening of flower picking and fabric dyeing at Tailwater Farm!
Flower pounding is a natural dyeing technique where a hammer is used to transfer the dyes and pigments found in flower petals and leaves to create a unique design on fabric or paper.
You’ll start class by strolling through our flowers selecting several blooms and foliage that stand out to you to use in dyeing your very own tea towel! Then you’ll gather around the table with your flowers for a how-to demonstration. After the demonstration you’ll have everything you need to start creating your own custom design!
Ticket price includes 10 flower stems and 1 tea towel.
Class begins promptly at 6pm.
A handout with start to finish instructions will be provided for you to take home!
No pets allowed. Children 8+ are welcome. Each person will need their own ticket.
Tailwater farm is an active farm, as well as our home, therefore natural pathways and lawns may be uneven or loose. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. We reserve the right to cancel this class due to low ticket sales or other conflicts. Ticket costs will be refunded if this occurs.
